 FROM PROMISE TO FULFILLMENT

(Theme: GOD OF TOTAL COMPLETION)

SUNDAY SERMON DECEMBER 14TH 2025

MINISTERING APOSTLE PAUL TAIWO.

Opening Scripture (Anchor Text)

Joshua 21:45 (NKJV):

> “Not a word failed of any good thing which the LORD had spoken to the house of Israel. All came to pass.”

INTRODUCTION

One of the greatest struggles of believers is not receiving God’s promises—but waiting for their fulfillment. Many have heard prophetic words, received divine instructions, and seen God start great things in their lives, yet the manifestation seems delayed.

Today’s message reveals a comforting truth:

God is not only the God who promises—He is the God who fulfills.

He does not abandon His word midway. He is the God of Total Completion.

1. GOD’S PROMISES ARE SURE AND UNCHANGEABLE

Numbers 23:19

> “God is not a man, that He should lie… Has He said, and will He not do it?”

God’s promises are not opinions or wishes; they are covenant declarations.

Men promise and forget

God promises and remembers

Men promise and fail

God promises and fulfills

Every promise spoken over your life carries divine integrity.

Application:

If God said it, time cannot cancel it, opposition cannot stop it, and delay cannot destroy it.

2. DELAY DOES NOT MEAN DENIAL

Habakkuk 2:3

> “Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.”

Many believers misinterpret delay as rejection. But God often uses time to:

Build character

Strengthen faith

Align circumstances

Prepare capacity

Biblical Examples:

Abraham waited 25 years (Genesis 12–21)

Joseph waited 13 years (Genesis 37–41)

David waited about 15 years (1 Samuel 16 – 2 Samuel 5)

Yet in all cases, God completed His word.

3. GOD WATCHES OVER HIS WORD TO PERFORM IT

Jeremiah 1:12

> “I am ready to perform My word.”

God is actively monitoring every word He has spoken concerning you.

He is not absent, silent, or forgetful.

Key Truth:

God’s delay is not inactivity—it is divine orchestration.

What looks slow in your eyes is strategic in God’s hands.

4. PROMISES REQUIRE FAITH AND OBEDIENCE

Romans 4:20–21

> “He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief… being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform.”

Promises move to fulfillment when faith is sustained.

Faith does three things:

1. Believes God’s word

2. Acts in obedience

3. Waits with expectation

Joshua and Israel possessed the land because they followed God’s instructions completely (Joshua 21:43–45).

5. GOD COMPLETES WHAT HE BEGINS

Philippians 1:6

> “He who has begun a good work in you will complete it…”

God does not start projects He cannot finish.

If He began it:

He will sustain it

He will defend it

He will complete it

Your life is not an abandoned project in God’s hands.

6. TOTAL FULFILLMENT BRINGS GLORY TO GOD

Joshua 21:45

> “All came to pass.”

When God fulfills His promises:

Faith is validated

Testimonies are produced

God’s name is glorified

God completes His word so that no glory is shared and no doubt remains.

CONCLUSION

God is taking you:

From prophecy to possession

From declaration to demonstration

From promise to fulfillment

Every promise hanging over your life is moving toward completion.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION

I declare over you:

No promise of God over your life shall fail

Delayed blessings receive divine acceleration

You will see the full manifestation of God’s word

Your testimony shall be complete

In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Prayer:

Father, every promise You have spoken over my life, family, ministry, and destiny—bring them to full fulfillment by Your power, in Jesus’ name.
