BIBLE STUDY: EMOTIONAL ENERGY & SPIRITUAL ENERGY
1. INTRODUCTION
Every human being functions with two core inner energies:
Emotional Energy – the strength and influence of your feelings, moods, desires, and mental states.
Spiritual Energy – the strength and power that flows from God’s Spirit within you.
Both energies influence your decisions, spiritual life, relationships, prayer life, and even health. When emotional energy is low or negative, it weakens spiritual vibrancy. When spiritual energy is strong, it aligns and regulates emotional energy.
Scripture has a lot to say about both.
2. WHAT IS EMOTIONAL ENERGY?
Definition
Emotional energy refers to the internal power generated by your feelings, thoughts, desires, and mental disposition.
It includes:
Joy
Peace
Anger
Fear
Anxiety
Passion
Motivation
Discouragement
Biblical Insight
The Bible calls this area the “soul” — the seat of emotions, mind, and will.
Psalm 42:5
“Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me?”
— David speaks of emotional energy being drained.
Proverbs 4:23

Your emotions push out energy that affects everything around you.
Proverbs 17:22

— Emotional energy affects physical health.
3. WHAT IS SPIRITUAL ENERGY?
Definition
Spiritual energy is the power, vitality, and divine strength generated by the Holy Spirit inside you.

The Word
Prayer
Worship
Fellowship with the Holy Ghost
Obedience
Fasting
Holiness
